About Serena
Serena has been intrigued by human sexuality since she was a young girl. As she got older and matured, she realized the importance of the role it plays in our daily lives.
She started her journey as a young psychology student at Memorial University and very quickly realized that her fascination with human behavior focused more on the brain/body connection, specifically how our sexual and intimate relationships are created and nurtured.
Serena, like a lot of individuals, knew there had to be more to her desires. Unfortunately, she was met with personal resistance due to social stigmas of how one should discuss and think about sex and intimacy. For a long time, she kept her sexual needs quiet but maintained that an orgasm was not a taboo subject, but rather just a beautiful experience, and she began her search to explore this blooming curiosity.
Serena made the move to a career in Paramedicine in her 20s, where the anatomical side of learning was her focus. Serena was always amazed at what a perfect machine the human body is and how the brain does so much more than just think.
Fast forward a few years and a few children later, she knew she was meant for more. Her love of sex was still there humming in the background of her everyday life and she had to let people know there was more to life than “work, laundry, fake it, repeat”.
Serena is now a Certified Sexologist/Sex and Intimacy Coach, Somatic Sex Educator, and studied Clinical Sexology. Serena has also studied relationship counseling through The Gottman Institute. Serena is here to help guide you forward on your journey to sexual expansion, whether that is physical, such as erectile challenges, difficulty with orgasms, or your intimacy with yourself or your partner(s).
“I am here to help you navigate your sexuality regardless of gender or orientation. People ask me why I did not pursue therapy, and my answer is simple...it limits the possibilities of our work together as a coach and mentor. It limits our work together outside the office.”
Let Serena be your “Everything to do with Sex” wingwoman.
Sharing her knowledge and teaching people to be more sensual and slow down, Serena also enjoys yoga, painting, reading, hiking, and exploring nature and all its wonders.
